Module 5 · Mergers & Acquisitions

22

Apr 20

Light exam

Short, low-stakes exam on core concepts from the full year, including a simple paper LBO

  • Why TVM opens the spring. IRR and MOIC are the backbone of LBO returns, so TVM comes before M&A and LBOs. In the fall, a 10-minute discounting primer at the start of DCF I covers what students need.

Companion reading

Rosenbaum & Pearl's Investment Banking: Valuation, LBOs, M&A, and IPOs follows nearly the same sequence and works well as the course text.
